Texas Property Records Map
Look up parcel lines and appraisal district records for a Texas address, coordinates, or parcel ID.
Screening only — appraisal district data for property tax, not a survey, a title search, or an appraisal. Read the disclaimer.
Choose a county to zoom to it and see what this tool covers there.
You can also zoom in and click a parcel on the map. Click the map, then scroll to zoom, or hold Ctrl and scroll; click outside the map to scroll the page. On a phone, use two fingers.
Results
Search an address, a parcel ID, or coordinates, or click a parcel on the map. Results show where each value comes from and how current it is.
How to read the results
- Owner (as listed)
- The owner name on the appraisal roll, which the appraisal district keeps for property tax. Ownership itself is recorded in the county clerk’s deed records. Mailing addresses and exemptions are not shown.
- Situs address
- The property’s location address as the appraisal district lists it. Some parcels, such as rural tracts and rights-of-way, have none.
- Legal area and mapped area
- Legal area is the acreage the appraisal district lists, usually from the deed or plat. Mapped area is measured in your browser from the parcel line on this map. Tax-map lines are approximate, so the two can differ.
- Market value (as listed)
- Land, improvement and total market value as the appraisal district lists them for property tax. The taxable value can be lower because of a homestead cap, agricultural valuation or exemptions, and values change during the protest season.
- Property category (state code)
- The state category the appraisal district reports the property under, named from the Texas Comptroller’s Property Classification Guide (for example, A for single-family residential, F1 for commercial). It is a tax classification, not zoning.
- Not provided by this source
- The source has no value for that field. In the statewide collection, a value listed as 0 often means the appraisal district did not send it, so it is marked as not provided.
- Parcels to choose from
- When several records share an address or a spot (condominium units, undivided interests), or when no parcel lists the address you searched, the tool lists them and outlines them on the map so you choose. It does not pick one for you.
- Download data
- For a parcel, the Shapefile (.zip) and GeoJSON hold its line (WGS 84 longitude and latitude) with the fields shown, and the CSV holds the fields. You can upload the zip to any of the other free tools as a site boundary. The files are made in your browser; each one states its source and that it is a screening.

Each county uses the best public source found for it: its own parcel service, then its appraisal district's web service, then the statewide collection. If a service does not respond, the next one answers and the result says so. Sources and their terms are checked each month.
Known gaps
- Parcel lines are tax-map lines drawn by the appraisal district. They are not survey lines, do not show easements, and can be offset from the imagery.
- The Bexar County service does not publish an update date; HERO checks a sample of records against Bexar Central Appraisal District each month. District web services show their own last update, and some districts publish no values (No data).
- The statewide collection is a yearly snapshot of each appraisal district’s export. Owners and values can be older than the district’s own website, fields vary by county, and some districts send no values or units.
- Donley County is not in the 2026 statewide collection.
- Parcel ID search works in every county except Donley. In counties answered by the statewide collection, use the ID the appraisal district used in its 2026 export.
- Values and categories differ by source: district web services carry no state category, and the statewide collection often lacks values. Missing fields show No data, which means the source did not provide them, not that the value is zero.
- Address search places a point on the street. The tool matches the house number and street name to nearby parcels; if none matches, you choose from the nearest parcels.
- Mailing addresses, exemptions, sale prices, photos and sketches are not shown. Home addresses that owners have made confidential under Texas Tax Code §25.025 are withheld by the appraisal district, not by this tool.
- Opportunity pins mark the city or county named in the notice, not the project site; listings without a city or county have no pin.
Disclaimer
Informational screening only. This tool displays public appraisal district data — county parcel services, appraisal district web services hosted on ArcGIS Online, and the TxGIO StratMap Land Parcels statewide collection — queried at the time shown, and U.S. Census Bureau address search. Appraisal records are kept for property tax. Parcel lines are tax-map lines, not survey lines. Results are not a survey, a title search, an appraisal, a legal description, or a sealed engineering document, and they have not been reviewed by a licensed professional for your property. Do not use them for design, construction, bidding, permitting, or legal or financial decisions.
Owner names and values are shown as the appraisal district lists them. Ownership is recorded in the county clerk’s deed records. To correct an appraisal record, contact the appraisal district.
Using this tool does not create an engineer–client relationship. Only the address, parcel ID, or point you enter is sent to the public services listed below to run the search. HERO E&C does not receive or store your searches. HERO E&C · TBPELS Firm F-27793.
